What we are
Amarillo Tornado Shelters is a referral service, not a shelter manufacturer or contractor. We publish practical information on tornado shelters for Panhandle homeowners, and when you request a quote, we pass it to an independent local installer who serves your area.
We don't build or install shelters. The installer who contacts you is responsible for their own products, pricing, permits and warranties.
Who we refer you to
We only send requests to installers who:
- Install shelters tested to ICC 500 and FEMA P-361 for tornadoes, and can show the documentation
- Carry business liability insurance
- Handle or explain local permits and Texas 811 utility locates
- Provide written quotes and warranties
Please check any installer's documentation yourself before you buy.
Does it cost anything?
No. Using this site is free, with no obligation. The installer pays to receive requests from this site, which doesn't change the price they quote you.

Safety guidance on this site is based on FEMA P-320, FEMA P-361 and the ICC 500 standard. Prices are clearly labeled estimates. We don't publish reviews we can't verify or make claims we can't support.
